Company Overview
Purpose: Timothy Eaton Memorial Church exists to glorify God, make disciples of Jesus Christ, and take part with the Holy Spirit in the healing of creation.
Our Mission: To be a “place for life” for our members, friends, associates, and community by proclaiming our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour in services of worship where God’s word is preached and the sacraments are celebrated. We support each other through pastoral care and concern, counselling, and group activities which provide opportunities for Christian service and other expressions of Christian friendship.
Our Vision (The Five Pillars): To achieve our mission, Timothy Eaton Memorial Church seeks to prioritize these five tenets as pillars of our ministry.
• Inviting Worship – We worship to work things out with God; not to perform. We practice rituals for confession, forgiveness, and healing, and we emerge transformed.
• Mending the World – We take part in Christ’s new creation by doing ministries of justice and mercy for all, including the poor, the stranger, the marginalized, and the sick.
• Celebrating Beauty – We create and cultivate beauty in reverence to God’s glory through our architecture, arts, music, liturgy, and care for our natural landscape.
• Raising Disciples – We invite everybody to join us in devotion to Christ. In addition to the rites of baptism and confirmation, we walk together into ever deeper union with God.
• Awakening Community – We build relationship within and beyond the church through food, drink, music, dance, sport, and education, that all may see the Christ in us.
