Company Overview
Lifetalk Counselling Services is an independent, non-denominational counselling agency operating under the auspices of Newell Christian Counselling Society, a registered non-profit, charitable organization.
As a agency, we complement the social safety net in our community by providing a counselling service for those who prefer the privacy of an independent agency with the assurance that the counselling staff will be Christian in its orientation - an orientation not necessarily shared by the client. We cooperate with other social agencies in the community. and receive referrals from many agencies plus court ordered counselling.
Our mission is to provide sound therapeutic counsel based on an integration of both psychological and biblical truth to create a climate that facilitates both personal wholeness and interpersonal well-being.
Though we are a fee-for -service agency, client fees are subsidized through some grants and charitable donations as necessary to remove financial barriers from receiving needed counselling and support.
Company History
In 1986, the pastors of the area began a vision to see professional Christian counselling available in our Brooks community. This began on a small scale bringing in a counsellor from an adjacent larger community. In 1993, the society was formed, after which Lifetalk has had resident counsellors. Currently we have two full and one part time staff.
Benefits
Lifetalk offers a small benefit plan through which medical expenses may be reimbursed by the agency to pre-determined amount.
