Company Profile

Harvest Bible Chapel

Company History

In early 2000, a small group of twenty or so people were gathering under the name Hope Community Church in Barrie. With no pastor and no building of their own, the group faced the prospect of closing down the ministry, but instead, God birthed in them a vision for a greater ministry that would impact not only Barrie but the whole of Canada. Through a series of God-orchestrated events, Harvest Bible Chapel Barrie came into being as a core group in January 2001. The church was originally established with the support of Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago. Todd Dugard became the founding and lead pastor in March 2001 and, after five months of training in Chicago, assumed his full-time responsibilities at the church’s official launch in September 2001. Over the years, Harvest has gathered for worship at the Sunnidale Community Centre, for four years at Emma King Elementary School, and for twelve years at Timothy Christian School. After sixteen years of setting up and tearing down church every week, Harvest finally moved into its own facility at 7 George Street in August 2017. Over the years, Harvest has been involved in planting and coaching new churches in Canada, the U.S., Scotland, and Cameroon, and has a vision to make disciples and plant churches wherever God would send them.
