Overview:
As the Assistant Director/Integrator, you will be responsible for living out the mission, vision and values of Rivers Edge Camping Association (RECA) through creating experiences for our campers and staff. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, executing and reporting on all elements of RECA. You will build marketing campaigns to acquire new supporters and engage existing ones. You will demonstrate a growing relationship with Christ modeled by a life of integrity, character and faith, strive to provide spiritual leadership to the full-time and part-time staff in your care. You will work with the staff team using innovative strategies to help people experience Jesus-centered life transformation. You are enthusiastic, outgoing and love engaging with people.
Responsibilities:
This position is a support to the Executive Director, and oversees the following:
Ministry and Non-Ministry partnerships (ensure all of our guest and events align with our vision and mission):
Provide leadership to Guest and Event Groups
Partner with Ministries and Organizations to bring retreats to Rivers Edge
Provide leadership to camp-facilitated retreats and camps
Develop/Implement camping experiences for families, students and children.
Work with the executive director / summer director to fulfill the needs of summer camp programming
Help train staff and program director
Program direct and speak as needed
Host for retreats and events
Marketing and Brand - Ensure consistent brand including (but not limited to) the following:
Brochures for camps and retreat
Website
Signing throughout camp
Newsletters
Social Media
Human Resources:
Assist with creating a fun culture
Support the RECA strategic statements by working collaboratively with all members of the staff team
Creation and implementation of staff handbook
Be a hands-on people developer who leads by example through performance management, a staff team that executes with excellence.
Delegate and oversee the work of the staff that reports directly to the Assistant Director
Provide spiritual and practical leadership in the selection of speakers and directors and in the training of staff (year-round and summer)
Create mentorship and staff development opportunities
Define, establish, and present trackable metrics of success (and failure) for the team
Develop and Implement performance reviews based on our vision, mission and values
Ensure all paperwork is filed for staff (personal references, annual spiritual references, police checks are current, etc)

Criminal Records Check
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business management, human services, or social sciences
Leadership education an asset
Past camp experience an asset
Demonstrate active involvement in their local church in the past and understand that continued church involvement is expected as they assume responsibilities at Rivers Edge camp.
